Just over $1.00 a day from our Drop-In's concession goes towards our sponsored child. Youth Members exchange letters and drawings with Joshua several times a year.

Sponsored Child
Joshua lives in Northern Nicaragua. We have been sponsoring Joshua for several years now after our former Sponsor Child reached 18 and went into post-secondary training. Joshua is 10 years old and lives with his Mother and Father. He helps out at home by sweeping. Joshua loves dogs and riding his bike for fun. He walks to school and is in Grade 4. Joshua's favourite subjects are Mathematics and English. He assists with classroom duties and would like to be a doctor when he is done school.
Community Involvement
Youth Members are encouraged to lend a helping hand to other groups and organizations.

Peace Crane Project
The Peace Crane Project invites every student on the planet to fold an origami crane, write a message of peace on its wings, then exchange it with another student somewhere in the world. The Project builds friendships, strengthens hand-eye coordination and writing skills, teaches geography, exposes students to new languages and cultures, and EMPOWERS YOUTH to make a difference in their community, country, and world.

Started in 2012, the Peace Crane Project now has over one million participants from over 154 million countries in the world.
Our Youth Members have spent many hours creating more than 50 beautiful, unique cranes to exchange with children around the world. In 2019, Group Group Youth exchanged their Peace Cranes with students from Greece.
In 2023, we exchanged our peace cranes with students from Blossom's Sam's Montessori Academy Oleh Delta state, Nigeria.
Exchanging preace cranes is very exciting and we are looking forward to sending our Peace Cranes across the world every year.
